Bangi, Malaysia, 20 May 2025 – Sapura Industrial Berhad (SIB), one of Malaysia’s leading automotive component manufacturers, is proud to announce a landmark joint venture (JV) partnership with Zhejiang Zhongze Precision Technology Co. Ltd (ZZ Tech), a fast-growing precision component specialist from China.
This JV solidifies SIB’s growth and expansion strategy, as it takes its capabilities, experience, and expertise in automotive component manufacturing into battery component manufacturing. The JV will focus on producing high-precision storage battery casings.

SIB’s growth and diversification supports the critical economic sector, aligned with Malaysia’s National Energy Master Plan and the global shift toward electrification and cleaner technologies.
ZZ Tech, a key supplier in in China’s new energy manufacturing ecosystem, is establishing its presence in Malaysia. By combining SIB’s precision manufacturing capabilities and deep understanding of the Malaysian market with ZZ Tech’s technical know-how and established global customer network, the partnership is well-positioned to support the expanding demand for energy storage solutions in the region and beyond.
